When should my child see an orthodontist for the first time?
Our orthodontists recommend that every child should have a full orthodontic evaluation around the age of eight. This will allow them to discover any potential orthodontic issues early and plan for treatment. They’re often able to help young patients avoid braces altogether with early intervention or at least drastically lessen the amount of treatment they need.
How long will my child’s braces treatment take?
Treatment times with braces can vary quite a bit from patient to patient depending on their particular situation. For example, if we are only straightening a few crowded teeth, this will be a relatively short treatment, maybe about a year or less. However, if we’re fixing very misaligned teeth along with a crooked bite, a treatment could easily take two to three years. We can give you a better idea of what to expect when your child comes to see us for a FREE consultation.
Do braces hurt?
Right after braces have been put on or adjusted, it’s very common for a child to experience a little bit of pressure and discomfort, but this just means that the braces are working. It should go away after a few days, but if it doesn’t, we can easily adjust someone’s braces to make them more comfortable.
How long does an Invisalign treatment take?
This can vary from patient to patient depending on the starting positions of their teeth. On average, Invisalign treatment times typically range from about 12-18 months, but we can give you a more concrete idea if you come to see us for a FREE consultation.
Can my child use Invisalign?
Invisalign has now been approved for younger patients as young as 8 years old! After your consultation with your orthodontist, they will determine if Invisalign is right for your child.
Can I finance my orthodontic care?
Yes, we offer in-office financing that has no interest or service charges. To learn more about your financing options with us, give us a call today.
